Mahindra and Mahindra is India's largest SUV manufacturer and will be rolling out the high end SUV, SsangYong Rexton in the Indian auto market on 17th October in Mumbai. The car will be manufactured at Mahindra's facility situated in Chakan, and the SsangYong Rexton will be launched in the national capital and Bangalore after which a phase by phase unveiling will occur in all other cities in India.
This high end SUV is the first model from the Korean brand for India after it was bought by Mahindra in 2011. The Rexton is popular in more than 66 countries and is a car of choice for most of the people in Korea, Russia and Europe. Luxurious interiors, superior handling and sophisticated styling coupled with inclusion of a high performance diesel engine makes this third generation Rexton a treat for customers in the Indian car market.
With the launch of the Rexton, the company is hopeful of making inroads in the high end luxury SUV market. Mahindra is well known for their budget and affordable SUV's having launched the Quanto compact SUV in September for a sub Rs 6 Lakh price tag. Buyers in India can look forward to a high-performance diesel engine SsangYong Rexton high end SUV.

Mumbai, October 3, 2012: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), India's leading SUV manufacturer, today announced that it would be launching its highly anticipated high?end SUV SsangYong Rexton in India on October 17th in Mumbai. This would be followed by launches in the cities of New Delhi and Bangalore and a phase wise roll out in other markets.
The Rexton is the first product from Ssangyong's product portfolio to be launched in India since Mahindra acquired the Korean company back in March 2011. The Rexton has carved out its own niche in 66 countries around the world, including markets like Korea, Europe and Russia.
This third generation Rexton, will create a strong connect with premium SUV buyers in India thanks to its sophisticated styling, luxurious interiors, superior handling and on and off-road performance. Indian buyers can also look forward to a high-performance diesel engine powering the Rexton. It will combine sophistication and refinement, luxurious passenger comfort, high quality performance and the ride and handling of a high-end SUV.
