Improved LP mountain bike trail to be unveiled Oct. 10

The improved Soldiers Memorial Park Mountain Bike Trail in LaPorte will be unveiled Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 2 p.m. at the new trail head sign on the north side of Lakeshore Drive near Orchard Avenue.

The mountain bike trail has been installed and maintained by volunteers for more than 10 years. The new sign and trail markings were installed this summer to better serve the community and bikers and hikers who use the trail.

The LaPorte Park and Recreation Department and the Mayor?s Office invite community members to come out and see the trail and the new trail signage.
